Vermont asbestos rules
The owner hires a Vermont-licensed asbestos inspector before renovating, demolishing, or cleaning up after a fire. Demolition requires 10 working days' notice to the Vermont Department of Health. Vermiculite is treated as asbestos-containing. In Vermont, an owner-occupied home is generally exempt, but not a building vacated for demolition; call us and we'll tell you what applies.
