City housing and county builders
In the city, the survey is usually tied to a renovation or a demolition of older housing. Ask the City of Saratoga Springs which survey documents the building department wants. The same survey rule applies in the growth towns: Wilton, Malta, Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Ballston Spa, Mechanicville, and Corinth.
New dwellings in New York are tested against the maximum air leakage rate the 2025 NY energy code sets for the home's climate zone, with a signed report for the code official. We also measure duct leakage. Blower door and duct leakage testing is performed by BPI-certified professionals on our team.
